How to Vote in the November 8, 2022 General Election
There are three ways to vote for Senator Anna Kaplan in the November 8th General Election
Don’t wait till the last minute to make a plan to vote, check out your options below for early voting, voting by mail, and voting in-person on election day.
Important Dates for the November 8, 2022 General Election
October 24 – Last day for the Board of Elections to receive your absentee ballot application by mail, email, or fax.
October 29 – Early in-person voting begins.
November 6 – Last day of in-person early voting.
November 7 – Last day to apply in person at the Board of Elections for an absentee ballot.
November 8 – Election Day. Last day to postmark absentee ballots. Last day to deliver ballots IN PERSON to the Board of Elections or to any poll site in Nassau County.
Vote Absentee by Mail
Step 1: Apply for an absentee ballot to vote by mail.
Step 2: Receive your absentee ballot.
- Once you receive the ballot, mark the ballot according to your choices for each office following the instructions on the ballot.
- Fold it up and place it in the Security Envelope. (This envelope will have a place for your signature.)
- Sign and date the outside of the Security Envelope.
- Seal the Security Envelope.
- Place the Security Envelope in the Return Envelope. (This envelope will have the return address of the Nassau County Board of Elections on the outside and should have a logo that reads, “Official Election Mail”)
- Seal the Return Envelope.
Step 3: Return your ballot.
You may return the ballot in any of the following ways for the November 8 General Election:
- Put it in the mail ensuring it receives a postmark no later than November 8.
- Bring it to the Nassau County Board of Elections during normal business hours no later than November 8 by 9pm.
- Deposit it in the absentee ballot bin at any early voting poll site in Nassau County during operating hours between October 29 and November 6.
- Deposit it in the absentee ballot bin at any polling place in Nassau County between 6am and 9pm on November 8.
Early In-person Voting
From Saturday, October 29 through Sunday, November 6, you can vote early in-person at any of the below listed early voting location in Nassau County.
Days, hours, and locations as follows:
Saturday, October 29 – 9am to 6pm
Sunday, October 30 – 9am to 6pm
Monday, October 31 – 6am to 5pm
Tuesday, November 1 – 10am to 7pm*
Wednesday, November 2 – 10am to 7pm
Thursday, November 3 – 10am to 7pm*
Friday, November 4 – 10am to 6pm
Saturday, November 5 – 9am to 6pm
Sunday, November 6 – 9am to 6pm
(*The Board of Elections polling place in Mineola is open till 8pm on 11/1 and 11/3)
